The Young Liberals and Democrats of Asia, more commonly known as YLDA. As the name suggests, it is a federation of liberal youth organizations and individuals in the Asian continent.
The membership is as diverse and dynamic as Asia itself. YLDA is composed of youth wings or sectors of Asian liberal and democratic political parties, Asian youth organizations that adhere to liberal and democratic values, and individuals that freely commit to the goals and objectives on which the federation was founded.
This blog is a by product of YLDA ICT Workshop in Penang, Malaysia last 17-22 May 2007. With the theme, “The beauty of Internet”, the workshop trained young Asian leaders on how to use ICT tools such as Blogging and Podcasting, which can be used for publicity, fundraising, and expanding networks and membership.
The people behind this blog are graduates of the YLDA ICT workshop and have been a constant partner of YLDA in promoting YLDA events worldwide.
