YLDA, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the Democrat Party of Thailand brings you the Bangkok Training of Trainors on Political Communication: Making Events work – A Practical Introduction.

Rachel Ann Bersamera, is a member of the Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas, and is an active volunteer of the organization. She is also the finance committee chair person of the Young Liberals and Democrats of Asia (YLDA) for the past two years.
She believes that good facilitation could produce fruitful activities and successful trainees, which can help individuals in the long run. And through participating in the Bangkok Training event, she will have the capacity to gain knowledge and improve her skills which she can convey to other people.
Cecille Anyayahan is the current Secretary General of Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas. Being an active member of the Youth wing of the Liberal Party of the Philippines (she is the facilitator and moderator of her organization’s events).
She is confident that the Bangkok training would enhance her abilities, equip her with new ideas which can help her improve her moderating skills and expand the existing communication of her organization.
Nielex Tupas came from a prominent political family in Iloilo, and is currently serving as a councilor of Iloilo. He Finished AB Economics from the Ateneno De Manila University, and is the current National Vice President for students of the Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas.
He believes that the Bangkok Training would enable him to develop necessary skills in dealing with people, and would enhance his knowledge regarding the current issues/situations which the Philippines is addressing.
Anita Thapa is an executive member of the Youth Initiative of Nepal, and is currently working on her organization’s discussions, debates, and seminars as a facilitator. She has also assisted in International seminars organized by her organization.
She believes that the YLDA Bangkok Training would help her and organization because they would be more capable of addressing the demand for better moderation and facilitation skills.
Farhan Anwar is the current acting president of the Future Youth group of Pakistan, and has attended several YLDA seminars. As president of the Future Youth Group of Pakistan, he believes that good moderation and facilitation is the key to practical implementation of FYG tasks.
For Farhan, the YLDA Bangkok Training will make it easier for him to enhance his skills in formulating and managing his organization well, and will enable him to help YLDA in future events that will need his help.

Ross Parkash is the Secretary General of the Future Youth Group of Pakistan. He is an active moderator of his organization’s meetings and seminars, whether is occurs on a district or national level.
He have attended several workshops, but it did not focus on moderation and facilitation, that is why he believes that the YLDA Bangkok Training is an opportunity to understand it better. He would want to enhance his skills because they are planning to introduce Liberal Political Party in Pakistan, and good moderation is one key to better communication.
Arif Ahmad is the Focal Person (International Officer) of the Future Youth Group of Pakistan. He has also worked with YLDA when he was elected as a member of the central working body in Taipei, Taiwan in 2005.
Being an active member of the Future Youth Group of Pakistan, he believes that moderation and facilitation is important in providing opportunity for the youth. He thinks that the Bangkok Training will help his organization come up with advance techniques which they can use in the long run.
Sann Seakkin is the president of the Sam Rainsy Youth Movement of Cambodia. Though he has not yet attended any YLDA workshops or seminars, he is motivated to strengthen the cooperation between SRYM and YLDA through the Bangkok Training.
He believes that through this training, he will not strengthen the ties between YLDA and SRYM, but will also enhance his skills in moderation and facilitation which he will transfer to his colleagues and assistants.
Phyrum Tuon is the Board President of the Students’ Movement for Democracy of Cambodia. He worked for the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction where he studied facilitation.
He believes that while working with other people, especially the youth, one should have the proper moderation and facilitation skills. Through the Bangkok Training, he believes that he will get more knowledge suitable for working with other people.
Sunil Witharanage is the Director/National Coordinator for Liberal Youth Guild of Sri Lanka. He has attended several YLDA workshops and is a trainer, facilitator, moderator, and a resource person in various IDL activities.
He considers the possible participation in the Bangkok Training as an opportunity to enhance his training capabilities. Improving his skills would mean more contribution to his organization and its goals.

Aneish Rajan is a research scholar for the Centre for Public Policy Research of India. As a member of the CPPR, he has moderation experiences when it comes to programs and conferences. He believes that since their organization is concerned with providing alternative policy solutions, further understanding of moderation and facilitation is a must.
The Bangkok Training, in his belief, would polish his moderation and facilitation skills, and would also help strengthen their organization’s relationship with YLDA.

Harisankar K.S. is a team member of the Centre for Public Policy Research of India. At 25, his motivation of meeting young liberals across the continent is strong, and this is what moved him in applying for the Bangkok Training.
He believes that a slot in the Bangkok Training would help him channel his abilities which will assist him in contributing more to his organization.

Miftahul Ulum is the current Vice Treasurer of National Coordinator Council of the Garda Bangsa of Indonesia. She believes that Democracy in Indonesia should reach out to the common people, and should be a tool for the Indonesian people to achieve prosperity.
The Bangkok training, in her belief, will help her and her organization reach out to other people thru strengthening citizen participation. This training would not only help her organization but will also provide new ideas concerning moderation and facilitation.

Predee Pravichpaibul is currently the Youth Programme of the Think Centre (Asia) Thailand. He believes that effective moderation and facilitation are important factors for the youth to share and express their ideas, which in the long run, will be the road towards a better world.
A slot in the Bangkok Training, in his belief, would teach him how to facilitate and moderate participants effectively during seminars, and the likes. Through this effective communication, freedom of expression will be promoted.

Wanwisa Vorranikulkij is the Youth Programme of Think Centre (Asia) Thailand. She is currently the organizer of Students International Conference which mainly tackles the development of the Asian economy.
If given the chance to be part of the Bangkok Training, she would want to overcome cultural barriers among participants, and create common understanding between them.
Marleynda Mariko is a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan). She has attended several YLDA workshops, but has not yet been in a moderation and facilitation seminar.
She sees workshops and discussions as better ways of delivering ideas and sharing information. She is looking forward to enriching her knowledge and improving her contribution to her organization through the Bangkok Training.

Yew Jin Goh is currently the Youth Secretary Bukit Bendera Division of the Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia. He believes that if chosen as one of the participants in Bangkok Training, his knowledge of handling seminars will be enhanced, and would help him and his organization.
Kwan WIng Yip is a former Youth Committee Vice-Chairman of the Democrat Party of Hong Kong, and is currently serving as a district councilor. He has experiences in promoting political consciousness amongst youth, and has several administrating knowledge.
If chosen as one of the participants in the Bangkok Training, He believes that whatever he would learn in the training, it would be easier for him to share his learning, and would be able to help others more effectively.
Wishu Dewobroto, the current head of the IT Department of the Taruna Merah Putih of the PDIP-TMP of Indonesia, considers the Bangkok Training as an excellent opportunity to gain more knowledge which can contribute to his organization.
He would want to be part of the Bangkok Training so that he can improve on his organizational skills which he can also pass on to his co-members and other youth thinkers.
Erik Yap is the Centre Committee member of theParti Gerakan Rakyat of Malaysia, and is also a councillor of Johor Bahru. If given the chance to be part of the Bangkok Training, he plans to share his insights and leranings for the betterment of the YLDA and his organization’s effectiveness.
